What's about publishing only in PECL and use php.net CVS? HAving it in our CVS will certainly bring you more contributions and fixes from the various php developers (internals). You can still announce the releases in freshmeat and use your web site to inform your users or document it (It would be nice to have in the PHP manual too, like www.php.net/amfext :)
Do you think that such extension could be interesting or useful?
