Thanks Emanuele and Johannes.
I filled out the account application as instructed. I believe you guys have seen my prior questions here. I hope they demonstrate my seriousness and I don't sound too clueless.
I'm very busy with my day job at the moment, but hope to have a serious patch soon. I sent a patch before but it did not arrive on the mailing list because it didn't have a .TXT suffix. If it's all right with everyone, I'd like to try again and make a different one as soon as I have a moment.
Ultimately, I hope to fix the following issues:
1) AMF3 serialization not working properly. I will alter serialization routines to serialize identically to the latest Flash Player.
2) I will define all the AMF_* constants so they are visible within PHP code. The currently are not.
3) I will include customary markup for code folding in text editors.
4) I will improve documentation.
5) Hopefully contribute some Endian-related functions or macros to the PHP base for use by anyone needing Endianness conversion. I'm really hoping for something that'll work on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems whether they are big endian or little endian or mixed endian.
My motivation for doing this is that I need a faster serializer for my FlashMOG project. Also, the guys at AMFPHP have expressed great enthusiasm for a serializer extension.
I've still got a lot of learning to do about Emanuele's code, but I have surmounted most of the major obstacles and can now debug my code.

Hi, On Sat, 2010-09-04 at 11:33 +0200, Emanuele Ruffaldi wrote:I have received the proposal of a new maintainer by J. Adams (ardozrocks@gmail.com) that is currently the developer of FlashMOG (http://flashmog.net/). Because it is my first time being involved in such a transfer of responsibility I kindly ask you for suggestions about the process and the selection of a new maintainer. The general approach for adding a new maintainer in is by having him send patches. If the patches are ok, they get an account. Once the new developer has an account he can be promoted by you to lead developer (not sure it can be done in the Web GUI, certainly it can be done in the package.xml and then by creating a release) In this case I have seen activity by the new developer on the list so this should be rather simple. http://pecl.php.net/account-request.php is the account request form. johannes
