If you're using IIS, you'll have to put sqlite3.dll in the system32 directory, or somewhere on the path (as described by Eden.) If you're using Apache, you can put the dll simply in Apache's binary directory.
In those cases, it doesn't affect anything for it to be in the php or php/ext directories. It won't find it there, because what matters is where the main application is running from.
That said, if you use cli/cgi you want it in the application's main directory.
There's no reason to put it in ext.

Hello, I've donwloaded the php_pdo_sqlite_external.dll and I'm trying to use external sqilte3.dll library, but it seems not working, here is what I've done, 1- add php_pdo_sqlite_external.dll to the extension directory and also to the php.ini 2- removed php_pdo_sqlite.dll from the extension, and commented it out in the php.ini Added sqlite3.dll to the root and extension directory, but it seems not working, does anyone have any ideas of suggestions, Thanks very much for your time,
