Hi,
I just grabbed the CVS tree for PHP3 and tried to recompile it for Solid
3.0 I took kme quit some time before I succeded because PHP3 only seems
to know about the old 2.3 version.
But I have been able to do it at last, but it required one small patch.
I had add the following:
Index: functions/php3_unified_odbc.h
===================================================================
RCS file: /repository/php3/functions/php3_unified_odbc.h,v
retrieving revision 1.56
diff -u -r1.56 php3_unified_odbc.h
--- functions/php3_unified_odbc.h 2000/01/01 04:44:10 1.56
+++ functions/php3_unified_odbc.h 2000/02/25 13:58:03

#elif HAVE_CODBC
-# define HAVE_SQL_EXTENDED_FETCH 1
+# if !defined (HAVE_SQL_EXTENDED_FETCH)
+# define HAVE_SQL_EXTENDED_FETCH 1
+# endif
# include <odbc.h>
# if defined(UODBC_UNIQUE_NAMES)
# define UODBC_TYPE codbc
And then run configure like this:
export CUSTOM_ODBC_LIBS=-lsolcli
export CFLAGS=-DHAVE_SQL_EXTENDED_FETCH=0
./configure --with-custom-odbc=/opt/solid --with-apxs
(removed all other options that are not relevant)
PS, just changing the sources to inlude the right header files and link
with the right libraries resulted in a fine build of PHP3, but it would
let my apache dump core on bootup.
I hope this is usefull to anyone.
