XML with PHP4

Hy everybody I hope someone can help me with my problem i installed PHP on an Apache via RPM but without XML Now i need the XML-Part This looked like the best way to do this : I translated a new version of php4 my Configure_File configure --prefix=PATH/php4 --exec-prefix=PATH/php4 --bindir=PATH/php4/bin --sbindir=PATH/php4/sbin --libexecdir=PATH/php4/libexec --datadir=PATH/php4/ share --sysconfdir=PATH/php4/etc --sharedstatedir=PATH/php4/com --localstate dir=PATH/php4/var --libdir=PATH/php4/lib --includedir=PATH/php4/include --in fodir=PATH/php4/info --mandir=PATH/php4/man --program-suffix=php --enable-FE ATURE --with-PACKAGE --enable-safe-mode --with-exec-dir=PATH/php/bin --enabl e-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes --disable-pear --with-mod_charset --enabl e-discard-path --with-filepro --with-ftp --without-gd --with-hyperwave --ena ble-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm --enable-wddx --enable-xml --enable-versioning --with-regex=apache --with-apache=/home/httpd. finally there is a dir called PHP4 a subdir BIN with a PHP file as soon as i open a file (test.php) with XML_PARSER_CREATE() :: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: xml_parser_create() in PATH/php4/test.php ???????????????????????????????????????????? Where is my problem ???????????????????????????????????????????? Thanxs for helping Andy
