Hello,
I reported a similar bug #4456 to bugs id : #1777 #4359 #4738 #3042
I can't run PHP 4.0.0 as CGI on NetBSD 1.3.3 with gcc 2.7.2 on x86, it
compiles fine and runs from command line ok.
But when invoked from Apache, I get :
pc1% telnet www.epita.fr 80
Trying 194.98.116.250...
Connected to www.epita.fr (194.98.116.250).
Escape character is '^]'.
GET /~cahagn_o/php/info4.php HTTP/1.0
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Sun, 04 Jun 2000 09:15:05 GMT
Server: Apache/1.3.12 (Unix)
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.0
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/html
No input file specified.
Connection closed by foreign host.
I compiled PHP4 with --enable-discard-path and this has been working
fine with PHP3 for now one year. The same script with the same setup
just fails with PHP4.
PHP4 compiled as a module works flawlessly.
Previous PHP4 (<= RC2) would provoke an Internal Server Error.
pc1% cat info4.php
#!/usr/www/bin/php/php4
<?phpinfo();?>
I tried to set document_root and user_dir as suggested in bug #1777 but
it didn't help for me.
I also had a look at latest developments but it doesn't seem to help
with this CGI problem.
Has anyone succeeded running PHP4 via suEXEC ?
Can anyone tell me what changed with the way CGI is handled since PHP3 ?
Thanks for any suggestion/help. I'm really looking forward to running
PHP4 as CGI and looked at FAQs, Apache docs, etc. Maybe it comes from
PATH_TRANSLATED.
