ID: 15617 Updated by: hholzgra@php.net Reported By: rehsack@liwing.de -Status: Open +Status: Closed Bug Type: Documentation problem Operating System: All PHP Version: 4.1.1 Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-06-17 17:26:19] hholzgra@php.net changing to "Check if assertion is TRUE, take action if not" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-02-19 06:02:26] rehsack@liwing.de I stumble 'bout the section LXXVI (PHP Options and Information), function assert. It documented not in it's original manner: assert takes care, the given expression (which it checks) is TRUE - nothing else. It takes appropriate action if its result is FALSE, that's also true, but it's meaning is: take care, that x is TRUE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=15617&edit=1
