Status: Closed
Bug Type: Documentation problem
Operating System: All
PHP Version: 4.1.1
New Comment:
Could you please change it to it's complete meaning:
assert takes care, the given expression (which it checks)
is TRUE. It takes appropriate action if its result is
FALSE.
It's meaning is: assert(x) takes care, that x is TRUE.

changing to "Check if assertion is TRUE, take action if not"

I stumble 'bout the section LXXVI (PHP Options and Information),
function assert.
It documented not in it's original manner: assert takes care, the
given
expression (which it checks) is TRUE - nothing else.
It takes appropriate action if its result is FALSE, that's also true,
but it's
meaning is: take care, that x is TRUE.
