Status: Open
Bug Type: IIS related
Operating System: Windows XP Pro
PHP Version: 4.4.2
New Comment:
Not to be a asshole, but a userdir is something your webserver (in this
case IIS6) has to support.
Php is just a parser of code to be executed on the server and _NOT_ a
webserver it self.
Ether install Apache 1.x or 2.x on your windows machine to support
userdirs (read the docs about it) or use google on how to get userdir's
on IIS6.

Description:
------------
Setting the user_dir directive in php.ini has no affect. When
attempting to go to http://localhost/~user/ a 404 Not Found
error
occurs. I can't find *any* documentation on what to set that directive
to. I've tried "public_html", "C:\Documents and Settings", and
"C:\Documents and Settings\*\public_html". None of which produced the
desired results. I'm using IIS 6 to serve PHP 4.4.2 files.
Expected result:
----------------
A web page.
Actual result:
--------------
404 File Not Found
