This bug has been fixed in SVN.
Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.

Thanks for the patch Remi, it works just fine. It's an annoying bug
though when you need to build rpm packages too and it would be nice to
see it fixed.
