Hi,
I have also been hit by this bug. Using php55-php-fpm from SCL on CentOS 6.
Remi, since you are also the maintainer for those RPMs: Any idea when fresh official RPMs with this
fix will be published?

The fix for this bug has been committed.
Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.

I think the first patch is correct, I don't see when you would want syslog expanded (usually to
a non-existent path) in any case ...

Why depend on wp->config->chroot ?
Can you think of a case where it is reasonable for "syslog" to be expanded ?
