+Status: Analyzed
-Bug Type: IMAP related
+Bug Type: Documentation problem
Operating System: Windows XP
PHP Version: 4.1.1
New Comment:
This is documentation problem. When you use pop3
it doesn't have all the capabilities as imap has.
Search & sorting are one of the missing ones, AFAIK.
On this page:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.imap-open.php
Is a faulty line which confuses (at least me :)
"This function can also be used to open streams to POP3 and NNTP
servers, but some functions and features are not available on IMAP
servers. "
It should be saying "..features are only available on IMAP.."
