Edit report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=73121&edit=1 ID: 73121 Updated by: nikic@php.net Reported by: derick@php.net Summary: Bundled PCRE doesn't compile because JIT isn't supported on s390 Status: Open Type: Bug Package: PCRE related Operating System: s390 PHP Version: 7.0.11 Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: If nothing else, we could at least add an #ifndef SUPPORT_JIT check in there, so you have the ability to overwrite it. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2016-09-20 10:04:50] derick@php.net Description: ------------ When compiling PHP with the bundled PCRE, the compiler barks with: /home/derick/src/php-7.0.10/ext/pcre/pcrelib/pcre_jit_compile.c:65:2: error: #error Unsupported architecture #error Unsupported architecture As we hardcode "SUPPORT_JIT" in the ext/pcre/pcrelib/config.h, there is no way to turn off JIT support through CFLAGS (as it causes a redefinition to =1 within this file). A solution could be to add a --without-pcre-jit configure option, that turns the #define SUPPORT_JIT 1 into #undef SUPPORT_JIT but that would mean creating ext/pcre/pcrelib/config.h dynamically, which is currently not yet done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=73121&edit=1
