Looks like it does not work on PHP 7.3.14. Described here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60147362/soapclient-after-long-request-go-down-with-error-500

Hello, I think this _maybe_ is still an issue! Or at least something peculiar is happening with my
TLS connections in regards to timeouts against at least certain remote hosts. I filed a bug report
on #74888 for anyone who thinks this bug might have resurfaced... .) https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=74888

This has been addressed (we believe once and for all) in upstream 5.5/5.6/master branches. Thanks to
bbroerman for the associated patches.

My mistake: PHP 5.5.18 also solved the truncated / incomplete SoapClient responses problem for us.
Sorry for the confusion.

@rick, try the patch. It applies cleanly on 5.5.18

We have the same SoapClient SSL issue as fredrik but the PHP version we're on is 5.5.18 (dotdeb
on wheezy). The response body is truncated / cut-off around 7000~7999 bytes.
On PHP 5.5.17 we had connection timeouts but those were fixed by 5.5.18.
