Out of interest, why are you building against libmysqlclient rather than mysqlnd?

Description:
------------
Starting from MariaDB version 10.2.* libmysqlclient is replaced with libmariadb. However, using the
option --with mysqli=/path/to/mysql/config* will fail when compiling the package, because PHP still
searches for the old library name.
Here is the error message:
Checking for mysql_set_server_option in -lmysqlclient... no
configure: error: wrong mysql library version or lib not found. Check config.log for more
information.
This is happening because the mysql_config file has only following options:
libs="-L$pkglibdir -lmariadb -lpthread -ldl -lm -lgnutls -lzlib"
embedded_libs="-L$pkglibdir -lmysqld -lpthread -lm -lrt -ldl -lcrypt -laio"
I think PHP should have an option for configuring it with the new mysql client name.
Test script:
---------------
./configure --with-mysqli=/path/to/mysql_config
