OP is probably mimicking syntax from
[JS/TS](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Operators/Optional_chaining).
Other languages are using
?[...], but as OP mentioned this would be ambiguous in php.
Nullsafe call seems to be unique to javascript (+ TS, Coffee).
