+Status: Feedback
Bug Type: Filesystem function related
Operating System: Solaris
PHP Version: 4.3.0
New Comment:
There are many reasons why the fopen() might fail..
Try adding 'error_reporting(E_ALL);' to your script
before fopen() call and you'll propably get an error message
saying why it fails..

A simple fopen() command returns a false rather than a handle. The same
script works correctly on Solaris with PHP 4.2.3 and works correctly
under Redhat 8.0 with PHP 4.3.0 and 4.2.3 and Tru64 with the same
versions.
I have configured PHP with the following options:
./configure --with-mysql --enable-wddx
--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
Please feel free to contact me if you need any additional information.
