Is there any workaround other than using PHP4.3.2RC4.

NT4 support has been discontinued by MS, I guess we might as well
follow suit.

Thanks for the tip, that's what i've done on this server.

I will have a closer look, but I did upgrade c-client prior to 4.3.2
final release in order to enable ssl connections. As a workaround you
can safely use php_imap.dll from RC4 distro as there were no code
changes between RC4 and final.
