Hello,
I've installed php4 on my system and now my scripts
can't
connect to a mysql server on a remote system. Using
php3 worked
fine (This is has been an active site for a while)
PHP4 is dying on this line:
$connection = mysql_connect("<hostname>",
"<username>" ,
"<password>");
The message I'm getting is this:
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed. Can't connect to
MySQL
server on '<server name goes here>' (111) in <html file>
on line 26.
Unfortunately, I can't go back to php3 because of a
number of
reasons.
Please help! I have to get this site back up ASAP.
Thank you very much!
