the print thing in javascript can only ever do it using the self.print() or similar functions, which will call the print dialog unfortunately, so you may be better doing something like writing the report to a file, then calling a background process to send it to the printer via postscript, straight text or something like that. as for the signal to open a cash drawer - you'd have to have that done via command line or something in the background as well - the browser wouldn't be happy doing something like that ;) (although i suppose there may be some crazy COM object or something that could do it for you...)
