have Coldfusion for linux and for connecting MySQL with coldfusion we need
MySQL shared package preinstalled.My problem is that how can I figure out
MySQL shared lib is installed or not

not great with Linux, but if you run locate mysql you should get a
result if it's there, but if you want to know if PHP has MySQL enabled
then create a file in your web server's root containing
<?
phpinfo();
?>
and call it from a browser. You should see if MySQL support is enabled
from there
Hope this helps
