Hi, I am trying to install php 4.0 on my system, I do right as the INSTALL says, and weverything goes smooth. But when I try to run Apache, this is what I get , [root@maira-dabba init.d]# httpd Syntax error on line 247 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/mod_php.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_php.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Apparently the mod_php.so file is not available. I tried to search for it , but couldnt find it. I have these lines in my httpd.conf file # Extra Modules LoadModule perl_module modules/libperl.so LoadModule php_module modules/mod_php.so #LoadModule php3_module modules/libphp3.so # Extra Modules AddModule mod_perl.c AddModule mod_php.c #AddModule mod_php3.c <IfModule mod_php3.c> AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3 AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps </IfModule> # The following is for PHP/FI (PHP2): <IfModule mod_php.c> AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml </IfModule> #LoadModule put_module modules/mod_put.so LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so #AddModule mod_put.c #AddModule mod_php4.c Now I belive there should be some way of installing that specific lib which I am tied up in. Please tell me where I am wrong and how can i solve the problem. Nauman ps. I tried to run php and apache with everything including "mod_php4" commented out and just everything including "php4_module" left uncommented. The apache started but php wasnt working. This is what was there when I "make install"ed php, I had to edit httpd.conf for mod_php myself. ----------------------------------------------- FREE!
