hi folks,
imagine this:
$hdb = ibase_connect($host, $user, $passwd, "", "", "",
"$role");
$sql = "SELECT * FROM items WHERE itemnumber = '4711' ";
$hst = ibase_query($hdb, $sql);
This leads to $hst having a value of 1
now this:
$hdb = ibase_connect($host, $user, $passwd, "", "", "",
"$role");
$sql = "SELECT itemdescr, itemname FROM items WHERE itemnumber = '4711' ";
$hst = ibase_query($hdb, $sql);
This leads to $hst having a value of "resource identifier #2"
PLEASE, what is going on there? In the first example I cannot retrieve a
result set or anything else.
In the second case, I cannot pass $hst to ibase_fetch_object($hst) or
ibase_fetch_row($hst).
Although I bet everything is as per PHP manual, I am going mad about all
this. I SIMPLY DO NOT
UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENS ...
Info: I run Apache 1.3.12 with mod_ssl 2.6.5 and PHP 4.02 and try this all
in non-SSL sesions as well
in a SSL session. All the same. Where do I miss something?
Cheers, Arne
