I also don't have much trust in postgres and mysql cause they miss a lot of
functionality and for production purpouses these 2 aren't reliable enough
(yet !).
I hope these freeware DB's will really compete with oracle, mssql, DB2 soon;
Their development is going to slow if you ask me.
Anyway, just wanted to share my opinion about it ;)

Well, actually, MySQL does support transactions.
