If money does not matter and you can hire a qualified Oracle DBA then
get Oracle. Interbase is very, very powerful too. You can have
transactions, stored procedures, triggers, add you own functions to it
and get it to send events to external applications. It is very fast too.
However, PHP support is a little immature right now but things are
improving. MySQL is very basic with no procedure or transaction support.
