loading result data into an array

Hello, I am writing a wrapper package for PHPs database calls. What I am now trying to do, is allow the developer/user to be able to set values of a column for the current row like so: $myrs->Columns["UserName"] = "test-user"; $myrs->Columns["Password"]="password"; the problem is, I need to set the associatve array's keys dynamically(since this is a library of sorts, the size/keys of the array will always be different).
