Apparently you receive te message ORA-01810 format code appears twice This means that: A format code was listed twice in a date specification. Each format code may be specified only once in the function TO_DATE. Action: Remove the duplicate format code from the date specification, then retry the operation Therfore, you're using one of the TO_DATE format-codes wrongly, corect this and on you go. (probably best to try it first with SQL*PLUS, and paste it into your coding afterwards) ------------------------------------------------ Arno Disser SFS/Pensioenen en Verzekeringen FAD/ICT Postbus 11 2280 AA RIJSWIJK The Netherlands Tel +31 (0)70 33 66 389 Fax +31 (0)70 31 93 884 email: <mailto:disser_a@sfs.nl> ------------------------------------------------ -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Chris Murtland [mailto:chris@studiomoxie.com] Verzonden: donderdag 12 oktober 2000 17:51 Aan: php-db@lists.php.net Onderwerp: [PHP-DB] using TO_DATE twice in an Oracle query Thanks to everyone who helped me figure out CLOB inserts. Another question: Can I only use the Oracle TO_DATE function once in a query? I've got an insert that uses it twice to format two different dates, and I get the error "format code appears twice."
