Has anyone else run into strange and unexplained happenings while using
pg_pconnect()? They've been few and far between until now with PG 7.0.2 and
PHP 4.0.3pl1.. The problems are mainly with cookies believe it or not --
they're being randomly deleted when I use pg_pconnect but as soon as I start
using pg_connect() the cookies are fine. I've poked around but haven't found
any documentation on any known bugs with pg_pconnect so if anyone has
information, please let me know.
This morning I had trouble with pg_connect() though -- it seemed on one
connect and query the connection would seem to fail but pg_connect was still
returning a valid connection index..

/usr/site/php/classes/db_pgsql.inc on line 64

1 should be a valid index!
I've restarted Apache, PostgreSQL and even went so far as to ruin my
uptime and reboot to make sure everything was restarted -- it was all for
not, same problems..
I've gone back to pg_pconnect for now and haven't seen the cookie bug
yet but it has always been intermittent..
If anyone has any ideas, please share them with me.. This box is running
Gentus Linux, kernel 2.2.16 (SMP).... Thanks!
