Hi everybody,
We're currently thinking about buying a new DBMS. I'd like to know from
more experienced people than I, what are pros and cons about Oracle and SQL
Server.
As I'm working in a higher education environnement, I'd also like to know
if some of you have got experienced with one of these products in such an
environment.
We'd like to be able to move on WAP systems as quickly as possible, once we
'll have deployed some new services based on this new DBMS. We wouldn't
want to redevelopp the whole thing later on for WAP usage.
The cost/effectivness ratio will be an important factor regarding to our
final choice.
Thanks
Stéphane
