Hallo Karsten , to examine an Oracle DB you have to know one table, that is ALL_OBJECTS . Do a select on that table you find all the objects in an instance, meaning tables, views, synonyms, storeds etc. You will find all tables and views beginning with ALL... there. E.g. the view ALL_TAB_COLUMNS will show you you all the attributes of all tables. If you do not want to look on ALL objects of all users in the db, you have the same views beginning with USER... So you will find all tables belonging to the user (better scheme)you are logged in when doing a select on USER_TABLES. Finding stored procedures is easy when you look in ALL_OBJECTS or USER_OBJECTS with the OBJECT_TYPE set to "PACKAGE%" , "FUNCTION" or "PROCEDURE". Hope that helps.
