Greetings,
I'm working on this project of posting my school's job postings
online. The jobs are housed in an access db. Because of data security
issues they don't want to put the db online. I've created a query that
incorporates all of the information that is currently included in the job
postings they put on the bulletin board outside there office. All they
have to do is save the query out to a text file and upload it to the web
server to update the listings.
I've got php reading the text file into a unix db (ndbm) using
fgetcsv and serialize. Everything works fine except when I include a memo
field from the access db that is greater in length than one line. It
seems that some character in the field causes the dbminsert command to
fail. I've tried using it with both addslashes and urlencode and I still
get the same problem. The career services centre is starting to get on my
case about this so I told them I'd have it fixed by Tuesday. I'm curious
if anyone could add any insight into this annoying problem.
Thanks
