I'm trying to insert some string into MEMO (BLOB SUB_TYPE TEXT) column in IB v. 6. After digging in documentation i've found some solution in "Interbase draft" at www.open-database.de : - start transaction - create blob structure - build it by adding string parts - close blob structure - insert into table using parametrized query - commit transaction and all works fine until i try to commit the transaction - php.exe causes an access violation in php4ts.dll, then in gds32.dll and Apache shows "premature script termination" in its error log. If i omit the whole work with blob i receive known IB message "conversion error from string BLOB". Under normal circumstances (Delphi + IBExpress) i use Parameter.AsMemo, but in PHP there is no way to specify parameter type. Anybody has other (i mean - working) solution? Just don't tell me "IB sucks" or anything like that - i have no choice as what my customers use for data storage. Cheers Jarek Zgoda
