On 2000-11-16, Finkel, Sean stated:

There has been much discussion on this in the php-windows list [though it
is a db issue too]. I'm writing a tutorial on this, though you can look at
the archives at phpbuilder.com.
Basicly, you need to grab the php distribution available at
http://www.php4win.de/ which has Oracle support compiled in AND
you need
to install the Oracle 8.1.6 client on the machine that has apache/IIS on
it. The client can be freely downloaded on Oracle's site. You also need to
make a couple of changes to your httpd.conf file in apache, and I'm not
sure what IIS needs [though i will soon, as i am now using IIS and apache
under NT].
I can give you more details soon, if you need. I'm hoping that by the end
of this weekend, I will have a Very Good tutoral on how to support Oracle
under win32.
