On my system, du /var/mysql will give you total sizes of each
database. ls -l /var/mysql/mysql will give you the file sizes for
each table in the database that holds permissions info. (mysql) You
need to sum the *.ISD, *.ISM and *.frm file sizes to get the total
space used by a table.
There might be a better way within mysql, if you find one, please let
me know, but this works for me.
You might have to replace /var/mysql with the directory where databases
are stored on your system. This is the default for a database compiled
from source, I believe the bianary distibutions are different, and I
know you can specify it when you compile.
