I copied the entire e-mail plus headers and submitted it to Spamcop, which tracked it down to a valinux.com account and sent a report to postmaster@valinux.com. Rules or no rules, if I didn't ask to get it, it's spam. At least with bulk snail mail, you can write REFUSED on it, and it will be returned (and the sender *still* has to pay postage). This group did not ask to be included in this mailing, since IT CANT. It's a damn mailing list. It's obviously harvested. So, since this group may have the knowledge of how to enact revenge, I ask. Let's say now, if I wanted to track down this individual, sending out spam. Lets call her Sophie530, as in her fake "remove" e-mail address. I want to track her down, and preferably make her pay for her not-so-petty crime in court, if possible. If not, at least send here a warning, and let here know that 2 spammers were recently sentenced to 3 years in jail for spamming. How to track the bitch down? /Mattias Unfortunately it seems that the list server for php removes most header so that I can't track her down and make it pay (I run my own email server with a strict policy on email I receive). I think that lists.php.net should add filtering for strings proper to SPAM. -- PHP Database Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-db-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-db-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
