Hello,
I have looked all over (obviously not good enough) and I cannt find a
suitable answer to this question:
I have a host (host A: Solaris) that has Oracle 8i installed on it. On
host B: solaris, I have PHP/Apache installed. These hosts are both
connected via NFS. I want to link the OCI libraries into PHP,
I obviously have to recompile it. The question is is, where are these
so-called client libraries. The PHP manual says you have to link against
these, but it doesnt mention where you obtain them and how you link
against them. Do you just do something like:
# ./configure --with-oci=/path/to/oracle8i ?????
, so this means that when you buy Oracle8i and install it, it has some
sort of APIs that get installed and ANY client can link to them?
Please help me here. Somebody must know..
Thanks,
