As some of you may know, it's possible in ASP to access a database without
an actual SQL server or even putting a System DSN into the machine - all you
have to do is give it the right physical path to the database file and it
works just like a connection through the System DSN, etc.
Is there any way to do this with PHP? I have a few small database driven
sites that need to be transfered to a server that only allows PHP. It's not
a big deal for me to re-write the code, but I need to be able to access the
database as a filesystem file and not through an SQL (or similar) server
connection.
Thanks in advance for your help!
