David,
To get Openlink's version info, put a "-?" after the oplrqb or oig2_sv
files.
Also, with regards to supplemental information, a client side trace would be
helpful.
Assuming linux/unix client, put the following lines at the TOP of your
odbc.ini:
[UDBC]
DebugFile=/tmp/odbc.out
and make sure the user starting openlink can 'touch' a file in that
directory.
If you can open a support case with us at
http://www.openlinksw.com/support/suppindx.htm
and paste the trace in, that
would be helpful. Please mention me in the case description and I will take
it personally.
Best regards,
Andrew

David,
I've seen some problems with odbc_do and odbc_exec. These are both
'Directly Executing' statements, without preparing them first. One
workaround for the time being is to use odbc_prepare with odbc_execute,
which works fine. I am looking into how PHP changed the odbc handling from
3 to 4, as this seems to be what changed.
Best regards,
Andrew

Are the drivers available yet? The download pages on the Web seem to show
only version 3.2 at the moment.
We have a licenced copy of Openlink ODBC drivers and request broker for CA
OpenIngres 2.0, which we're using successfully with PHP 3.0.16 on Solaris
2.7. However, I'm just switching to PHP 4.0.0 and an attempt to use the
same ODBC drivers fails with
Warning: SQL error: [OpenLink][ODBC][Driver]General error, SQL state S1000
in SQLExecDirect in
/home/cczdao/public_html/sysreg/php_old/gateways.php4 on line 13
If executed using PHP3 (via an appropriately-named symlink), the same PHP
page works correctly. I'm guessing that I might need a newer release of
the ODBC software. It would have been useful to determine the release
we're currently using with PHP3, but I can't find that info in the
unpacked files.
This is an urgent problem as I'm developing to a deadline and need the
session support in PHP4. Let me know if you need any supplementary
information for this problem. Thanks.
regards
David
