I don't know about the CVS version, but the php4b2 release seems to have a problem with accepting the http POST method. I noticed this when trying to run xmlrpc (the php version) and discovered that the xmlrpc server code failed when I used it on a php4b2 enabled server. Edd Dumbill (the author of xmlrpc) mentioned this was a problem with POST in older versions of php3 and that it was fixed in 3.0.12, but that he was not sure if the new code got merged into php4.
Well, I may sound a bit preachy, but PLEASE, if you know about such a problem, report it. It's not too long before PHP 3.0 development is abandoned in favour of 4.0 (it's very close to that state now) - so we really must get 4.0 completely stable in the very near future. Could you elaborate some more on that problem? POST works with PHP 4.0b2 and it worked in all versions of 3.0 (prior to 3.0.12) - so it must be something specific. Looking at the PHP 3.0 ChangeLog, I can only see the following that may be related: - support for accessing the raw POST data when its content-type isn't already understood by PHP (Jim) Does this make any sense to you? Are you talking about standard form variables or something more unique? Zeev -- Zeev Suraski <zeev@zend.com> http://www.zend.com/ For a PGP public key, finger bourbon@netvision.net.il
