do we have a concept in SAPI for this kind of *non HTTP* stuff? i think
it's useful (see www.xmlrpc.com)!
just had a look at SAPI.c and post.c - i'm sure i could "hack" it in -but
that's not what we want, right? - i think we should have a clean
implementation for this in SAPI.
