Operating system: Solaris 2.6
PHP version: 4.0 Beta 2
PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: Could not get Apache 1.3.9 to compile and link successfully (fixes described)
I spent several hours getting PHP 4, Beta 2 to work under Solaris 2.6 and though
you might make good use of the things I had to do (ennumerated below).
Hope this is helpful...looking forward to trying PHP4!

------------ Problems encountered, with solutions -----------
1. In compiling php originially, received one pointer incompatability warning
in (I believe) 'sock5.c' (?)
2. Had to put explicit reference to the '-lgd' directory in the make file
(both -L and -I directives) (also added '-lgd' to make file)
3. Had to put explicit reference to the 'pcrelib' directory in the make file
(both -L and -I directives) (also added '-lpcre' to make file)
4. Solaris - had to add '-lresolv' before '-lsocket -lnsl' to resolve
several dns symbols (dn_expand, etc)
