From: mclinden@informed.net Operating system: RedHat Linux 6.1 PHP version: 4.0 Beta 2 PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure Bug description: Unable to build php4b2 module php compiles well enough with the --enable-oci8 and --enable-oracle options, but when I go to configure Apache 1.3.9 I get: ./configure --prefix=/usr/apache --enable-module=ssl --enable-module=proxy --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a --enable-module=php4 Configuring for Apache, Version 1.3.9 + using installation path layout: Apache (config.layout) + activated php4 module (modules/php4/libphp4.a) Creating Makefile Creating Configuration.apaci in src Creating Makefile in src + configured for Linux platform + setting C compiler to gcc + setting C pre-processor to gcc -E + checking for system header files + adding selected modules o ssl_module uses ConfigStart/End + SSL interface: mod_ssl/2.4.6 + SSL interface build type: OBJ + SSL interface compatibility: enabled + SSL interface experimental code: disabled + SSL interface vendor extensions: disabled + SSL interface plugin: Built-in SDBM + SSL library path: /usr/local/ssl + SSL library version: OpenSSL 0.9.4 09 Aug 1999 + SSL library type: installed package (stand-alone) + SSL library plugin mode: none o php4_module uses ConfigStart/End + enabling Extended API (EAPI) + checking sizeof various data types + doing sanity check on compiler and options ** A test compilation with your Makefile configuration ** failed. This is most likely because your C compiler ** is not ANSI. Apache requires an ANSI C Compiler, such ** as gcc. The above error message from your compiler ** will also provide a clue.
