Since I couldn't add this to the bug tracker:
I have experienced this problem with PHP/3.0.12, 3.0.13 and PHP4b3.
It shows
up on RedHat 6.0, and RedHat6.1 with Oracle8 and Oracle8i.
I have no idea why it happens, but explicetly closing connections
helps.
We can also fix the problem by restarting apache. But this basically
makes Oracle and
PHP worthless in a high volume situation.
