Bug description: functions/basic_functions.c fails to compile with IRIX 6.5 MIPSPro 7.2.1
Output from IRIX 6.5 MIPSpro Compilers: Version 7.2.1:

constant value
pval *args[2] = {&key1, &key2};
^
"functions/basic_functions.c", line 871: error(1028): expression must have a
constant value
pval *args[2] = {&key1, &key2};
Can be fixed by changing init to something like
args[0] = &key1; args[1] = &key2;
