The API changed between libmcrypt 2.2 and libmcrypt 2.4, and PHP only works
with libmcrypt 2.2.x. Unfortunately, the PHP3 documentation doesn't make this
very clear. For the time being, you will need to downgrade to libmcrypt 2.2.6
to use it with PHP.
