I posted this message on the main user list, but Oracle doesn't seem to
be as widely used as MySQL, for obvious reasons. Oracle is a pain. If
anyone out there has any suggestions please fire them off to me.
I have a function that calls ora_logoff but it doesn't appear to be
working. It is supposed to return true or false, it doesn't return
anything.
Here is my function:
// Function: OracleLogoff
// Purpose: Disconnect from the Oracle Database.
// arg. $connection - the connection you wish to logoff.
function OracleLogoff ($connection) {
global $debug;
global $PHP_SELF;
if ($debug == "on") {
$ret = Ora_Logoff ($connection);
} else {
$ret = @Ora_Logoff ($connection);
}
if (!$ret) {
if ($debug == "on") {
PrintError ($PHP_SELF, "OracleLogoff");
} else {
MailError ($PHP_SELF, "OracleLogoff");
}
return;
}
return $ret;
}
I have also tried just calling ora_logoff like this:
$ret = Ora_Logoff ($connection);
if I print the contents of $ret, it is empty. Has anyone had this
working correctly for them. If you don't test for the return, it doesn't
display an error it just doesn't log you off.
Thanks,
