PHP Bug Type: Compile Failure
Bug description: Compile crashes and dies with --enable-trans-sid
Hi! I was attempting to compile PHP with --enable-trans-sid, for transparent Session ID handling,
as referenced in the "Session Handling" section of the PHP manual. However, whenever I do
the compile crashes and dies at this spot:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2/ext/standard -I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2
-I/root/sources/apache_1.3.12/src/include -I/root/sources/apache_1.3.12/src/os/unix
-I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2/Zend -I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2
-I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2/ext/mysql/libmysql -I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2/ext/xml/expat/xmltok
-I/root/sources/php-4.0RC2/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -g -O2 -Wall -c microtime.c
&& touch microtime.lo
microtime.c: In function `php_if_getrusage':
microtime.c:97: storage size of `usg' isn't known
microtime.c:100: `RUSAGE_SELF' undeclared (first use in this function)
microtime.c:100: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
microtime.c:100: for each function it appears in.)
microtime.c:106: `RUSAGE_CHILDREN' undeclared (first use in this function)
microtime.c:110: warning: implicit declaration of function `getrusage'
microtime.c:97: warning: unused variable `usg'

Thinking it might have been something that got accidentally broken sometime in between RC1 and RC2,
I tried it also with RC2:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/root/sources/php-4.0RC1/ext/standard -I../.. -I../../Zend
-I/root/sources/php-4.0RC1 -I/root/sources/apache_1.3.12/src/include

-I/root/sources/php-4.0RC1/ext/xml/expat/xmltok -I/root/sources/php-4.0RC1/ext/xml/expat/xmlparse
-DXML_BYTE_ORDER=12 -D_REENTRANT -g -O2 -Wall -c microtime.c && touch microtime.lo
microtime.c: In function `php_if_getrusage':

This happens whenever I use --enable-trans-sid on the configure command, and does not when I do not.
So, if anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. The complete configure lines (I
used two diff on each version) are: "./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.12
[--enable-track-vars] --enable-trans-sid". So if its a user thing at my end (ie I forgot to
turn something else on) it would be great to find out, or if it is really a valid bug. Thanks much!
Oh, right, also I just wanted to say you all are doing a great job and to keep up the good work.
Excellent software you have here.
