I heard from several people that the IMP code is incompatible with PHP
4.0, and that it's a mess so it's difficult to fix it... It's possible
that IMP is being bitten by one of the few syntax incompatibilities
between 3.0 and 4.0, and is thus not behaving properly.
The LDAP module is working fine with PHP 4.0, I can second Rasmus on that.
