Actually, Sasha's suggestion, if I understand correctly, is getting
after another (also important) issue, of providing a "sample" PHP
extension module. This could help standardize the approach and quality
of coding for such extensions. Nice idea.
My original suggestion was concerned with the issue of providing
one-stop shopping for *existing* PHP extension modules for people who
are tying to install PHP, with notes about the platform(s) supported
and other installation requiements; I'm grateful that Sterling Hughes
agrees and is willing to take such a project on!
