Ok, let it be known that I just recompiled gcc 2.95.2 and it seems to be fine, but now when I try to build the current cvs version of php4 I get this: starbase# make Making all in Zend make[1]: Entering directory `/raidb4/temp/php4/Zend' flex -+ -B -i -S./flex.skl -Pzend -ozend-scanner-cc.cc ./zend-scanner.l bison -y -p zend -v -d ./zend-parser.y -o zend-parser.c /bin/sh ../libtool --silent --mode=compile + -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -D _POSIX_PTHREAD_SEMANTICS -D_REENTRANT -DXML_BYTE_ORDER=21 -I../TSRM -DTHREAD =1 -pthreads -c zend-scanner-cc.cc In file included from zend-scanner-cc.cc:241: FlexLexer.h:47: iostream.h: No such file or directory ./zend-scanner.l:52: fstream.h: No such file or directory ./zend-scanner.l:62: strstream.h: No such file or directory make[1]: *** [zend-scanner-cc.lo] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/raidb4/temp/php4/Zend' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 starbase# ok, if FlexLexer.h can't find a fundamental file like iostream.h then how did I ever make it through the configure? Could it be that something has changed with these files recently or is it my c compiler at fault. Has there been a recent change to zend-scanner-cc.cc that could cause this? I tried setting includedir and various other things but to no avail. Just trying to figure out how to get around it or if I can get around it without some major overhaul of my system. I know there have been problems with zend-parser.c before requiring it to be deleted before the make but that didn't help either. Thanks -Mark
